Strategic Global Income Fund Announces Record Date for
2009 Annual Meeting of Shareholders

New York, December 12, 2008 -- The Board of Directors of Strategic Global Income Fund, Inc. (SGL) has set Friday, January 16, 2009 as the record date for determination of the shareholders entitled to vote at the Fund's annual meeting of shareholders, to be held on Thursday, March 19, 2009. The matter to be considered at the annual meeting is the election of directors.
